Councillor Broome’s 7th Annual Glow Party, BBQ & Outdoor Movie
What an incredible evening we shared at my 7th Annual Glow Party, BBQ & Outdoor Movie! With over 300 people in attendance, this year’s event was our biggest yet. Families, friends, and neighbours came together at Dr. Margaret Arkinstall Park to enjoy food, fun, and community spirit a true celebration of Ward 6.
Despite the cooler weather, the energy was warm and vibrant. The barbecue was buzzing, the raffle added excitement (congratulations to our lucky raffle winner!), and as the sun set, families cozied up under the stars for the outdoor showing of Finding Nemo the Moonlight Movie Series grand finale, right here in Ward 6.

A Community Success
This event was about so much more than food and entertainment. It was about celebrating the connections that make Ward 6 and all of Newmarket such a special place to live. From neighbours meeting for the first time, to kids glowing with excitement, to families gathering under the stars the Glow Party truly shone bright this year.
I am so grateful to everyone who attended, participated, and supported the Glow Party. Together, we made this event a night to remember, and I can’t wait to welcome you all back next year as we continue this special tradition in our community.
With gratitude,
Kelly Broome
