PROJECTs IN motion

Mulock Park is in the stage of construction. Grading and site servicing, and the construction of Mulock House and park buildings is underway. Landscaping work is planned for spring and summer 2025. Mulock Park is envisioned as a 16-acre green oasis in the heart of Newmarket, Ontario, transforming the historic Mulock Property into a vibrant community space.

Keith Davis Tennis Centre off Bennington Road is fully operational, open daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. This state-of-the-art facility features clubhouse, 10 courts, including eight climate-controlled, domed courts for year-round play, with high-quality surfaces and LED lighting for optimal performance.

Inn From the Cold is being built. A 16,000 sq ft facility on Yonge Street dedicated to helping homeless and at-risk individuals with shelter, training, and a fresh start. The facility will offer 8 transitional housing beds and dormitory-style emergency shelter with room for 26 people, a dining hall, multi-purpose space and quiet room with computers and library resources, and outdoor garden and recreation space.

Margaret Arkinstall Park: Newmarket’s first fully accessible Spray Pad and Water Park nearing completion scheduled to be open by August 2021 or sooner.

Includes a soft water play surface, spray, shade sails, site furniture, connecting pathways, and a picnic area surrounded by soft landscaping.

Newmarket's First Outdoor Skate Park: A variety of skate features to accommodate junior to advanced riders and provide learning opportunities to all users and age groups.

In addition to the skatepark features, the proposed amenities include gathering areas, shade sails, picnic tables, benches, landscaping features, bike racks, and a water bottle fill station.

The property includes welcoming green space and a historic home, all in the centre of urban Newmarket at the northwest corner of Mulock Drive and Yonge Street. Inline Council’s Strategic Priorities, Extraordinary Places and Spaces the Mulock Property has completed its full design and master plan.

George Luesby Park: Replacement of play equipment, playground surfacing will be engineered wood fibre and depressions in concrete for for accessibility needs.

Clare Salisbury Parkette: All-new playground, basketball court, swings, bike rack and picnic table.

Tom Taylor Trail: Connectivity and completion of new affordable recreation.

Mulock Drive Multi-use Path: East-west path will be designed to allow for a wide-range of recreational uses such as cycling, walking, jogging and wheelchair access.
