Mulock Park Is Almost Here - An Exciting Milestone for Ward 6

During my last walk through with staff, I was reminded of just how far we’ve come and the role I’ve been proud to play in helping move this project forward over the past decade.

For those of us in Ward 6, this project has been years in the making. I’ve worked closely with residents, staff, and Council to help shape this vision, and it’s incredibly rewarding to now see it entering the home stretch. What began as thousands of conversations with our community has been translated into real, tangible progress, quickly becoming one of the most unique parks anywhere in Ontario.

From the beginning, I’ve been committed to ensuring this project delivered more than just another park. It’s about preserving our history, protecting our natural environment, creating meaningful recreational opportunities, and building a gathering place that families will enjoy for generations.

As your Ward 6 Councillor, I’ve worked hard to advocate for this project, help guide it through key decisions, and ensure it reflects the priorities of our community. Residents have been part of this journey every step of the way, and we’re now getting closer to welcoming everyone through its gates.

A project of this scale requires strong leadership and collaboration. I’m proud of the role I’ve played in bringing together Town staff, contractors, consultants, trades, project partners, Council, and residents to help deliver this remarkable space. It has truly been a team effort, and I’m grateful to everyone who has contributed along the way.

While there is still work to be completed, the latest construction update shows just how close we are to the finish line. Crews continue making excellent progress across the site as the park prepares for its anticipated opening later this summer. (Town of Newmarket)

I truly believe Mulock Park will become one of Newmarket’s top destinations in its history and a place where families create memories for decades to come. I can’t wait to see our Ward 6 community enjoying everything this extraordinary space has to offer.
