Keith Davis Tennis Centre Welcomes Ontario’s Top Young Athletes to Ward 6

Another exciting milestone for Ward 6.

Located right here in Ward 6 at 50 Bennington Road, the new Keith Davis Tennis Centre is already proving to be more than just a place to play tennis. It is becoming a destination for sport, recreation, competition, and community connection.

Investments in recreational facilities like this create opportunities for residents of all ages to stay active, build friendships, and enjoy high-quality amenities close to home. They also allow Newmarket to welcome athletes, families, and visitors from across Ontario.

This past week, the Keith Davis Tennis Centre proudly hosted the 2026 Ontario Tennis Association Junior Closed Outdoor Provincial Championships.

From June 29 to July 4, the Town of Newmarket, in partnership with the Newmarket Community Tennis Club, welcomed the Under-14 division, bringing some of Ontario’s top young tennis players to Ward 6 to compete for a provincial title.

The tournament showcased incredible talent, sportsmanship, and dedication from the next generation of athletes. It also highlighted Newmarket’s continued commitment to investing in spaces that support recreation, healthy living, and community building.

Congratulations to all of the athletes who competed, and thank you to the families, coaches, volunteers, organizers, Newmarket Community Tennis Club, Town staff, and everyone who helped make this event such a success.

It is exciting to see the Keith Davis Tennis Centre already making an impact and helping put Ward 6 and Newmarket on the map as a community where sport and recreation continue to thrive.

with gratitude,
